Today is Furinalia (July 25), in which ancient Romans celebrated the goddess Furrina. Very little is known about her, and there is some dispute as to whether or not she is the goddess of robbers, robber-bees, a goddess of water, or one of the furies. She seems to have been forgotten for some reason. The information on her is fascinating, particularly the grove that still stands in her honor today.
